Encourage Your Friends to Host a Party!

Encourage your guests and other friends to host their own Green Cleaning Party. You can expand the circle of women who understand the problem and are taking action to fix it. Cut and paste these email templates into your own emails, and send them to friends and family who might be interested in joining the movement to create a healthier environment!

Dear Friend,

Did you know that many household cleaners contain toxic chemicals linked to asthma and reproductive harm? But you can wipe out unsafe chemicals by mixing your own cleaning products!  I just had a Green Cleaning Party, and I want to encourage you to have one of your own.  Join the movement of people who believe that we deserve to live in a safe and healthy environment!

Women's Voices for the Earth is encouraging women across the country to host Green Cleaning Parties, and I thought you might want to participate! A Green Cleaning Party is a fun event where you and your friends learn how to make non-toxic cleaners from common ingredients like vinegar, baking soda and essential oils.

Women's Voices for the Earth, or WVE for short (pronounced WEAVE), is a national, women-centered environmental health and justice organization that works to eliminate or substantially reduce environmental toxics impacting human health and to increase women¹s participation in environmental decision-making.

We believe that getting toxics out of products is the best way to ensure they don't get into your home and your body. And when it comes to household cleaners, the safest ones are those you mix yourself from simple ingredients you can trust!

You can host a Green Cleaning Party and make a commitment to bring together your friends or family for a party where you can make your own non-toxic cleaning products!

Dear Friend,

Women's Voices for the Earth (WVE), a national environmental health group, recently launched a campaign to encourage women to mix their own household cleaners using non-toxic ingredients.  A growing body of evidence suggests that chemicals in some conventional cleaners can be linked to asthma, respiratory disorders, and reproductive harm.  And because cleaning manufacturers are not required to list all ingredients on their product labels, we have no way of knowing what chemicals are in products, and therefore, how to avoid them.  The best solution is to make your own!

WVE is encouraging women across the country to host Green Cleaning Parties—I just had one, and I hope you'll participate!  A Green Cleaning Party is a fun event where you and your friends learn how to mix non-toxic cleaners from basic ingredients like vinegar, baking soda, and olive oil.  WVE makes it easy by providing the tools you need to have a successful party.  You learn more about this movement and register to host a party by going online: www.womenandenvironment.org/greenclean
